Looks like I’m the only one who doesn’t care about theories.
I was reading an italian forum (italian fandom sucks, BTW: I can’t read a single post without wanting to kill the poster - but maybe it’s just me), and everybody is trying to explain in his/her own way what happened in the episode (there are also people trying to convince others that Desmond has a russian accent — hello? are you there? Desmond is Scottish. Just because his accent looks like Russian to you, it doesn’t mean it is, and you should really stop bothering everybody about it.).
I mean, who cares? We all saw what happened, there’s no need to hear an explanation. And there’s no need for theories, either. Everything happens for a reason, and we will find out the reason when it’s time.
Lost is just a tv show. It’s not a math problem, or an unfinished algorithm. It’s a tv show, and people should really stop asking themselves what, why and how.
Just watch it. You’ll never know how good it is unless you just watch it.
No thinking, no wondering, just watching.
